Evening French Language Courses
Each French language course consists of 27 lessons, with each lesson lasting 1.5 hours.
Evening French courses normally take place twice a week, either on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Mondays and Wednesdays, making them a convenient option for adults who work or study during the day.
For each course, we carefully select appropriate French language learning materials based on the students’ level and learning objectives.
At LINGUA FRANCA, our teaching philosophy is to develop grammar through communication and practical language use. For this reason, our French courses include communicative games, activities, discussions, and practical exercises that give students regular opportunities to use French in a positive, relaxed, and supportive atmosphere.
Private French Lessons
LINGUA FRANCA also offers private French lessons for students who prefer individual instruction.
Private French lessons are arranged at a time that is convenient for you and are taught by our professional native French-speaking teacher.
Before beginning individual lessons, the teacher meets with you to discuss your learning objectives and assess your current level of French free of charge. Based on this assessment, we prepare a French language programme tailored to your individual needs, goals, and level.
What Do Our French Lessons Cover?
For every French language course, appropriate textbooks and supplementary learning materials are carefully selected.
Grammar is primarily taught through conversation and practical communication, allowing students to understand and use grammatical structures in context rather than simply memorizing rules.
French courses include a variety of activities designed to encourage students to actively use French during lessons.
Students develop all four essential language skills:
- Reading
- Listening
- Speaking
- Writing
Particular emphasis is placed on speaking and listening, helping students become more confident and fluent in real-life communication.
Written assignments are generally completed as homework, and students receive individual feedback from their teacher.
French Language Course Exam and Certificate
At the end of the course, students take a French language examination based on the topics and language skills covered during the course.
Students who successfully pass the examination receive a LINGUA FRANCA certificate and can continue their French studies at the next level.
Shared Private French Lessons
It is also possible to organize shared private French lessons in small groups of up to four people*. This allows participants to benefit from more personalized instruction while sharing the cost of private lessons.
More information about shared private lessons can be found here.
* All participants in a shared private lesson group must have a similar level of French language proficiency.
